Home prices in 20 US metropolitan areas fell in January by the most on record (
10.7%!), a sign the housing recession is deepening, according to the S&P/Case-Shiller home-price index. The gauge has fallen for 13 consecutive months. January home prices fell
2.4% from a month earlier, following a 2.1% decline the prior month.
